Sub-brands are a tricky subject and can go horribly wrong if they don’t have a reason and strategy behind them. Sub-brands are typically created as an opportunity to reach a new audience with a new product.
We created a sub-brand for KE Adventure Travel, who wanted to reach a specific audience with a new and exciting product called Pioneer (for those local to Carlisle, it’s not the food store). Pioneer is a group of amazing, bespoke and one-off holidays of the likes they had never done before – and they do amazing adventure holidays!
We developed a new mark and name, but kept their original logo black and white, giving the ‘sub-brand’ an exclusive look and feel. We then designed a ‘newspaper’ invitation that was delivered to a subset of their audience. It was a winner.
We also designed some launch promotional items such as local ale and cupcakes for internal staff to celebrate such a great achievement.
