SOCIAL MEDIA HACKS FOR BUSY BUSINESS OWNERS AND CREATORS

Time-saving social media hacks for busy business owners.

We understand the challenges you face growing and marketing your business online, especially with the rapidly changing functionality and confusing algorithms each social media platform offers.

Learning which social media platforms perform the best to attract and target the right audience to your business and knowing what type of content encourages your followers to engage with you is time-consuming and often overwhelming.

That’s why we’re sharing our top time-saving social media hacks to free up more of your time to concentrate on the things you love!

  1. Plan and schedule your posts
    Use a social media planning and scheduling tool like Facebook Creator Studio, Hootsuite, Later or AgoraPulse to schedule and automatically post at the time when your audience are most active to maximise your reach and engagement.
  2. Create branded templates in Canva
    Tools like Canva are great and so easy to use!. Upload your brand assets, colours, fonts and imagery to create consistent, eye-catching posts and stories – that keep your feed looking fresh, professional and on brand.
  3. Research and save a list of relevant hashtags for your niche and Industry.
    Hashtags can help you gain more reach and visibility quickly. Use All-Hashtags or Inflact to research and generate a list of relevant ones for your industry (general & niche), then copy and paste into each post to save you time!
  4. Choose 3-5 content pillars specific to your business
    Define content pillars that help you group your content into ‘buckets’. This provides structure for your strategy and prevents repetitiveness for your posts. Examples are Tutorials, Product promotions, Advice, Authority, Humour,
  5. Repurpose content
    Use insights and analytics tools inside you social media management tools (Hootsuite, Later, Plann, AgoraPulse, Instagram/Facebook….) to find your top performing content. Repurpose and expand for different platforms so you don’t have to create new content everytime!
  6. Focus on your audience
    Research where your core audience is spending their time on social media and focus on a content strategy for these networks to gain the most engagement and grow your business.
  7. Share User Generated Content (UGC)
    Remember to share user generated content (UGC) that you have been tagged in to. This creates more content for you and benefits your audience and is great for building trust and building a community.
  8. Focus on platforms where you audience is
    Save time and focus only on the social media platforms where your ideal audience are and that bring you results and help you achieve your goals.
  9. Leverage time-saving features like notifications
    Utilise time-saving features like automated replies and turn on post notifications for accounts you regularly follow so you don’t miss them and can engage quickly.
